Deleting your Facebook, Instagram or Google information
For practitioners who connected an account to Post for me. Last changed 19 October 2026.
What we keep
| From | What |
|---|---|
| The name and number of the page you chose, an encrypted key to post on it, and the number Facebook gives your Facebook account for our app (so we can find your connection if you ask us to delete it). | |
| The name and number of the business Instagram account linked to that page. It uses the same key as the page. | |
| The name and address of the Business Profile you chose, and encrypted keys to post on it. | |
| Your posts | The drafts and what was posted: the words, the picture, when, and the post's number on Facebook, Instagram or Google. |
We never get your passwords, your personal profile, your friends or followers, your messages or your reviews.
Three ways to delete it
- In your Practitioner account (straight away): log in, go to Marketing, Post for me, and press Disconnect under Facebook or Google. The key and every post still waiting are deleted at once. Disconnecting Facebook disconnects Instagram too.
- On Facebook or Google: on Facebook, go to Settings & privacy, Settings, Business integrations, tick Practitioner and press Remove. On Google, go to myaccount.google.com/connections, choose Practitioner and Delete all connections. The key stops working at once, and we delete it the next time we try to use it.
- Ask us: email hello@practitioner.org.uk from the email address on your Practitioner account, saying which accounts. We delete the keys within 2 working days and everything in the table above, including the record of past posts, within 30 days, and email you when it's done.
Posts that were already published stay on your Facebook page, Instagram or Google listing until you delete them there. If your Practitioner account closes, all of the above is deleted with it.
